Looks like ReElement will be doing the separation (via CIC, continuous ion chromatography). There is lots to read about ReElement if members search forum with that name. They have also done a podcast with REEx.
I opened the link provided and read the technical study itself. It made me recall the attached U. of Idaho 2016 Master's thesis by Kevin Lyon. Kevin actually tested his Matlab modeling with confirming SX extraction experiments (on Idaho National Laboratory's 32-stage bench scale mixer-settler...
If any members subscribe to "The Epoch Times", see their Dec. 8, 2025 edition for an interview and fairly non-technical article about Dr. James Tour and Flash Joule Heating entitled "This Chemist May Have Cracked America's Rare Earth Problem".
Thanks @Deven for bringing this all together in...
Thanks for the videos, Deven. The one with Dr. Tour introducing and interviewing was especially helpful. His graphs using Gibb's Free Energy and Arhenius' Plots allowed me to better understand how the separations can be made and further purified. Took me back many years to my university days...

Appreciate the examples of US gov'ts non-free market programs for their farmers. As a boy in the 1960's, I was kept busy mowing my grandfather's 100 acres because it was in the "soil bank". The gov,t was paying him to not grow any more grains because their grain surplus/price support storage...
