The Real China Exposure in Rare Earths Isn’t Where Most Investors Think

Spoken like a veteran operator!

Dovetailing off of your key points with respect to operational expertise, know-how and ESG-compliant processes, how do these factors apply to the US build-out of RE metallization by magnet makers and others?

The legacy electrolysis method is extremely caustic, expensive, and slow---how will US magnet makers even get this process stream permitted, let alone absorb the enormous capital costs & high operating costs into their overall cost structure? Has the US RE industry addressed these issues?

Thanks, John

Well...we could (and will need to) do what the Chinese did 30 plus years ago...and have the whole sector 'state backed'.

No ex-China project has really got up to scale without state backing. And there are really only two.....Lynas (Japan backed them) and MP (USA). Serra Verrde.....they are privately held...and also still rely on China for processing.

All the others about to come through will be state backed too (Arafrua - Aust Govt), (USA Rare Earth - USA Govt). etc.....

Also...dont' forget about 1 Jan 2027.....all US Military assets are to have zero Chinese magnets......:-)
