I’m learning a lot watching all this scrambling. Everybody has a great story until they get punched in the face by reality ( to paraphrase Mike Tyson); on one hand the business reminds me of buying an old house that on surface seems like a money-maker until you dig in and find foundation problems and termite damage and lead paint and all the speculative eagerness loses both cash and momentum- on the other hand it is forcing all these companies to reach out and leverage areas where they are lacking capacity and/or expertise all around the world within (hopefully) stable and friendly venues…
Strange Bedfellows at times but the acquisitions and off-take agreements and adjustments in strategy seems to be smart strategy now.
Everybody wanted to be cradle-to-grave-capture all the vertical gain but they are having to eat a reality sandwich to stay viable…
