Urban mining is an interesting term, but do folks ( mainly people who are not in this industry) really appreciate what it means? Check out this article and easy-to-understand chart from the WorldEconomicForum (Center for Energy and Minerals, Nov. 2023, by Charlotte Edmond) to see the tremendous economic value in what is basically recycling technology products containing critical minerals and rare earths - from smart phones to PCs to electric motors to military hardware. It's an astounding number, and we'd be foolish to ignore its potential. That's why ReElement is acting to recycle these resources within the U.S. and globally for the circular economy. Makes sense (or cents), doesn't it?
