Rumours from Washington...

Anyone got any rumours from Washington regarding what Trump is going to do?

What i am hearing:
- Every man and his 'rare earth dog' are trying to speak to anyone that will listen in Washington
- Nothing is a done deal yet and there is no confirmed "big money" planned...
- the 'Londan Deal' was thought to have bought them time....but they have been shocked with the IP required to get an export permit...effectively preventing supply of RE to USA....
- Still lots of people trying to get their heads around the problem.

What i am not hearing:
- DoD seems to be a black hole....not hearing anything....So something super secret is probably happening. Becasue we have previously heard they are talking to lots of people.....
- Not hearing anything about alliances with other countries.....which would jsut be odd....but again..if negotiation is happening...we would not be hearing anything too.....

What are we seeing:
- MP Materials jsut keeps going up....maybe the corrupt 'smart money' knows something?
- Most RE stocks up.....25-50%....in two months....cough cough

As we have previously said....Trump could make this his defining policy for his second term.....to build the USA into a resiliant country...that does not have to bend the knee to China (or anyone else)....

And in the scheme of things in the USA...if he had to spend $200-400 billion...it would be over 4-5 years....and they are spending 1 trillion dollars a year on defense......surely this worth spending the money on rare earth supply chains...to make sure the military is not compromised......in fact...maybe just make the military pay for it.....why not...they should have identified this issue 20 years ago and solved it..

What else are people hearing...or wish to speculate?

On the issue of IP, It has been a joke for at least twenty years. The Chinese totally disregarded it while playing catch up. It discourages scientific collaboration. It is now so expensive to get comprehensive coverage that only Majors can afford to apply. The only people who benefit are the Lawyers. Proving one industrial process infringes on another is almost impossible.
