Letter to Jeffrey Kessler, Under Secretary

If govt's globally want to secure critical minerals....they could start by preventing short positions on these companies. It is preditory. Given the power imbalance in the market (ie china dominance), these shorters use this to cast doubt and fear on these companies. It is wrong.

Sure - we see also a short problem with ARU and others. Energy Fuels is also very strong shorted. But if you get nice announcements then you see a SP supercharged.
The shorting is a problem so many especially Junior Mining Stocks facing and have to quit because of very unattractive share prices. :(

The shorting per se is annoying, and I don't think needed. But the real issue is the manipulative trading. The big guys have so much power in the markets. They have lots of tricks. Lots are illegal. But the authorities do nothing.

I think there should be a Royal Commision. Capital markets are there for businesses to raise money to do things. Yet all these financial parasites feed from it. And they say "we add rigour" blah blah blah......no you don't you steal money from those that do not understand.

There are some simple fixes. Put a "per transaaction" tax on every trade. That will stop the "bot trading". Use the funds raised to create an effective regulator. And prosecute...and go hard at them.
