While the US may be pulling back from Africa and the rest of the World for that matter, they appear to be selective on which Countries they are targeting. So while South Africa and Nigeria get hit with punitive tariffs, Central Africa ~ Angola, the DRC, Uganda, Zambia etc have escaped relatively lightly. Why, probably has a lot to do with the Lobito Railway Project and the fact that these Countries are in particular endowed with large REs and CMs reserves.
