After the recent annoucement with MP Materials (Link here for discussion on the MP Forum) i wanted to know who Maaden was....and it looks like they are backed by the Govt. And the Saudi govt have plans for mining in Saudi Arabia to account for about 5% of their economy by 2030.
Obviously this will not just be Maaden.
But to put that into persepctive, mining in SA is currently about 1.5% of the economy!!! And they want it to get to about 5% in the next 5 years. So that means they need to increase in dollar terms from $17 billion to about $70 billion.....so another $50 billion....in 5 years....

No wonder they are looking at Joint Ventures and takeovers etc.....
